Meeting Dates For Centralized Bargaining

As a follow up to our first message on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, the Treasury Board responded late Thursday afternoon to the bargaining teams of CUPE locals in Parts I, II and III of the New Brunswick public service.

The Treasury Board accepted our terms on the composition of the Centralized Bargaining Team. This team will be composed of the following:

  • 7 CUPE presidents of locals composing Part I, II and III

  • 1 observer for Part IV locals

  • CUPE Maritimes Regional Director

  • CUPE NB President

  • CUPE staff

They are prepared to negotiate with us next week on Wednesday, August 25th and Thursday, August 26th. We accepted their offer to return to the negotiation table.

We are hopeful that a fair collective agreement can be reached, however until such time as a deal is secured, workers must continue their plans for province wide action.

In solidarity,

The CUPE Centralized Bargaining Team
